Music is an endless journey for Jacob Be. His journey has taken him from his parents kitchen singing prayers on the Sabbath, to being a singer-song writer and Jazz guitarist living in Lawrence, KS. Along the way, he has picked up many valuable lessons. Developing a deep relationship with music theory while obtaining a degree in Jazz Guitar from UMKC, making life-long friends and giving back to many organizations while performing at festivals across the country, connecting with children and starting the spark of music through teaching at Americana Music Academy and local schools have made Jacob Be. more than just a guy with a guitar. Striking audiences with his rich voice and subtle compositions, Jacob sings love songs that highlight the importance of connection between people, self, and environment. It is the duty of a folk artist to tell the stories of the common people, and Jacob takes to this responsibility with tender care. Rock, blues, jazz and folk music influence Jacob Be.’s all original catalogue. He is also well-versed in the classic covers of the last century and jazz standards, through popular pop songs of today. Life is a journey. Some days it may be rocky and others smooth, but without the connections we make to our friends and family, we cannot make it by ourselves.
